Setting up Mail for Exchange
When you have installed Mail for Exchange (or followed the Setup E-mail steps, if Mail for Exchange is already installed on your device), you need to:
  • set up a Mail for Exchange mailbox
  • create a profile
Setting up a Mail for Exchange mailbox
  1. From your device’s menu, select E-mail
  2. Select New > Start
  3. Enter the e-mail address for the mailbox you want to set up
  4. Enter your password
  5. Select Mail for Exchange
  6. Enter your user name
  7. Enter the domain name
  8. Enter the Mail for Exchange server name. This is the web address for the corporate Exchange server you want to connect to.
  9. Select OK.
Creating a profile
  1. Go to the Mail for Exchange folder (usually on your mobile device’s main menu) and select the Mail for Exchange icon.
  2. When you launch Mail for Exchange for the first time, your mobile device asks you to enter some initial settings.
You will need the following information:
  • the name of your mail domain (required for the Autodiscover feature)
  • the Exchange server’s name
  • your user name and password (this is often your network username and password)
  • details of your mobile access point from your wireless carrier.

Mail for Exchange may be able to use the Autodiscover feature to find some of this information; you will need the domain name for Autodiscover to work.
If you want to create a profile later, you can select Options > Create Profile to access the menu again.
Editing a profile
To change the settings in a profile, select Options > Edit profile.
A list of profile settings categories appears. Select the category you want and change the information in it.
Changing some information – for example user name or domain – causes all synchronised data to be temporarily removed from the device and copied from the server.
Deleting a profile
To delete a profile, select Options > Delete profile.
If you do not create another profile, you will be prompted to do so whenever you start Mail for Exchange.
When you delete your profile your contacts, calendar items, and tasks will remain on your device, as well as any device lock that has been set up. E-mails will be deleted.
